1. Student Membership: This membership category is for ND, HND and B.Sc undergraduates in Polytechnics and Universities. For members of this category, induction fee is NGN1,000 and annual due is NGN2,000.

2. Associate Membership: This membership category is for Office Managers, Information Managers, and Secretaries with less than 10 years of work experience, or HND and B.S.C Graduates of Polytechnics and Universities. For members of this category, induction fee is NGN2,500 and annual due is NGN5,000.

3. Professional Membership: This membership category is for Office Managers, Information Managers, Secretaries and Lecturers who have between 10 and 19 years of work experience, or academic staff whose rank is below Principal lecturers. For members of this category, induction fee is NGN5,000 and annual due is NGN15,000.

4. Fellow Membership: This membership category is for Chief Confidential Secretaries, Information Management Experts, and Lecturers who have 20 or more years of work experience, or academic staff whose rank is above Senior Lecturer or anyone in the office of Head of Department. For members of this category, induction fee is NGN10,000 and annual due is NGN25,000. 

5. Honourary Fellow Membership: This membership category is for those who have contributed immensely to the growth of information management community.
