Promoting Information Managers
We raise awareness of information resources within the organization with face-to-face meetings with departments, researchers cum analysts, and the management in order to deliver the information resources they need most.
The National Institute of Office Administrators and Information Managers (NIOAIM) was established in November 2020 and had her
inauguration/maiden induction held on December 5, 2020. NIOAIM aims at promoting Office Administration and Information Management
as well as the practitioners through academic exposure, networking, knowledge sharing and skill enhancement for career development.
To champion innovation in the field of Office and Information Management as well as Office Technology and Management with a view to rebranding practitioners for greater recognition, respect and excellence.
To promote knowledge, skills and experiences of members by conducting qualifying examinations, organizing seminars, workshops and conferences for rebranding practitioners in the field of Office and Information Management as well as Office and Technology Management.
To promote career/professional mentoring among members.
To expose members to job openings/opportunities in the labour market.
To register each member under the category of membership he/she is qualified for in line with the stipulated criteria.
To update members on evolving trends and innovations across the globe on the study and practice of OTM and OIM.
To help enhance the employability/job rating of members with “Pass” grade in their HND or B.Sc. certificate to boost their job competencies by retraining and re-examining them.
To accord due recognition to members who have made their marks in knowledge and skills impartation on OTM or OIM and who, apart from being up to Chief/Senior Lecturer level, are also in Management positions or have held Management positions in tertiary institutions.
